OUR VISION

RESURGENCE is a socially diverse community of believers who are founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to use various technological and artistic methods in order to bring believers to spiritual maturity with the unchanging truth of the Gospel. Whether in large community, small groups, or personal relationships, we strive to uphold one another to live for Christ, not for ourselves. Our Commission as maturing believers is to go into our city, state, nation, and world pointing others to salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

MEET OUR PASTORS!

Jeremy Edmondson
Teaching Pastor

My name is Jeremy and I am the teaching pastor of RESURGENCE. I have been involved in ministry for the past 10 years and am currently striving to complete my degree with Liberty University. I've been married to my beautiful wife, Beth, for 6 years, and I am a big fan of hanging out with her. She shows me the love of Christ everyday. I am a strong believer in the free grace of Jesus Christ, and I am thankful for every opportunity to help you grow up as believers in Jesus Christ. If you are a believer, atheist, or bi-curious, there is grace for you at Resurgence.

Wes Hendrickson
Community Pastor
My name is Wes Hendrickson and I am the Community Pastor at Resurgence. I am passionate about the Body of Christ living in community, sharing each others burdens, and growing into a family that is built up to move forward. When you visit Resurgence expect to get connected. My wife, JoAnna, and I look forward to meeting you and growing with you in God’s grace!

Jeff Hughes
Life Groups Pastor
Hey, my name is Jeff. I oversee the life group ministry of Resurgence. I grew up in Murray, KY and recently moved to Evansville in August 2006. My wife, Becky, and I have a two year old, Ellie, and Ava arrived last September. Becky and I got a taste of what Church should be about when we lived in Texas. To be honest we cannot imagine it any other way. That is why we are part of Resurgence. We desire real authentic relationships and have found them here. Being from Kentucky, I cannot become a Hoosier and still wear my KY blue proudly. Though I will not wear Indiana red, I am a huge fan of the Colts.

Eric DeLong
Worship Pastor
My name is Eric DeLong. I am the music
minister here at Resurgence. I team up with various people from our congregation to lead people in worship and to use the songs we sing as simple tools to express our gratitude and need for Yahweh. I graduated from Kentucky Christian University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies, as well as a degree in Arts and Humanities and a minor in Youth Ministry. While in college I started a band called The Apprentice. After a couple years I asked a couple buddies to play with me, so we toured during the summers until I graduated from college and then we toured full time for a year and a half. North America is beautiful. Please buy a van, be a hippy, and travel around the country for a while. You won’t regret it.

OUR CHURCH CONSTITUTION & BY-LAWS

CORE VALUES

Truth - Everything we teach is resting on the foundation of the infallible and inerrant Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Samuel 22:31)

Growth - To see those who are within our community grow in spiritual maturity in order to bring the surrounding culture to Christ. (1 Cor. 3:5-9)

Accountability - God's Word guides us and is used in order to correct and encourage us so that we can better reflect the glory of God in our lives. (2 Tim 3:16, 17; Matt. 18:15-20)

Community - Living in fellowship and participating in small groups causes us to share in one another's lives and to bear one another's burdens. (Acts 2:42-44; Eph. 4:1-3)

Relevance - We seek to identify the culture and use that culture in order to reach the culture. (Acts 17:22-31)

Technology/Arts - Living in a sin-based, media-saturated culture, our hope is to effectively communicate with people using a Bible-based, media-saturated approach in order to present the Gospel clearly and effectively. (Mark 4:30-32; 12:1-11; Luke 8:4-8; 14:7-24; 15:1-32)
